Articles of Faith
ART 1 We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the word of God, and that they were all given by inspiration of God, and are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for the instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works; and the New Testament is more especially adapted as a perfect rule of Faith and Practice, for all believers and the gospel Church, under the present militant reign of Christ, and that they plainly teach the doctrine set forth in these articles.
ART 2 We believe that by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned, being without strength, and are alienated from the life of God, without hope and without God in the world, as enemies to Him by wicked works.
ART 3 We believe that there are three that bear record in Heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Ghost - and these Three are One, only living and true God, whose existence is in and of Himself, Immutable in being and perfection, which is the only foundation of all our communication with God, and comfortable dependence on Him, who is the only and alone proper object of religious worship.
ART 4 We believe in God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessing in Heavenly places in Christ, according as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself according to the good pleasure of His will.
ART 5 We believe in effectual calling by the Holy Spirit, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace.
ART 6 We believe that we are freely justified by God's grace, through the redemption which is Christ Jesus.
ART 7 We believe in the sanctification of the Spirit unto obedience, and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ.
ART 8 We believe in the perseverance of all Saints or Sheep of Christ, so that they shall receive the gift of eternal life, and shall never perish.
ART 9 We believe in the resurrection of the bodies of the Just and Unjust.
ART 10 We believe that God hath appointed a day in which He will Judge the world in righteousness, by the Man whom He hath ordained, in which the wicked shall go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into life eternal.
